New "Snap Together" Modular 3-Way and 4-Way Pneumatic Valve Manifolds Offer Easy Customization Reliability for Pneumatic Control Panels

Available with Either Multi-Pin or FieldBus Interfaces, the Exclusive Burkert Rocker-Design
Pilot Valves Offer Extremely High Life Cycles (>100 million) and User
Friendly "Snap Together" Customization
Burkert announces the availability of the Type 8640 modular manifold pneumatic control systems. Built to exactly meet customers' and system integrators' requirements for size, flow and performance, these 10, 18 and 32mm-size valve systems feature a "snap together" design for easy customization with electrical and pneumatic interfaces (they also feature manual override and manual speed control for accurate control of pneumatic actuation). This design expedites the cost-efficient production of custom systems while assuring optimum performance and reliability. Even complex systems can be easily configured with a variety of pneumatic and electrical interfaces including the newest technology (FieldBus, DeviceNET™, PLC and ASI Bus). Further cost savings are achieved through pre-assembly and pre-test functions which can be completed by Burkert prior to shipping.
The wide selection of valves provides the ability to configure a manifold system for nearly all applications. All valves have the Burkert diaphragm-seat design and are controlled by a unique Burkert rocker-design pilot valve. This technology offers extremely high life cycles (exceeding 100 million cycles) and the valve performance is not affected when used with non-lubricated, dry air.
Both the valves and the manifold modules are made of high quality thermoplastic and are corrosion resistant in wash down conditions. Electrical interfaces include Cable Plug 2506, Multi-pin Connector, DeviceNET™, PROFIBUS DP, CAN Bus, INTERBUS S, and ASI Bus. Valve control functions include 3-way valve N.C. (3/2); 4-way valve (4/2); and 4-way valve (5/2). The final manifold configuration is supplied with a computer aided customized assembly drawing and a bill of material. Applications include valve actuation for pneumatically driven devices in all industries.
